DESCRIPTION:The only blast furnace in Luxembourg open to visitors has a guided tour on set Sundays\, each one in a single language. The dates and languages are listed below. What do you see on the tour? You climb to the 40-metre viewing platform and hear the full story: how this giant made steel\, and how the wasteland it left behind became the City of Science. Fonds Belval also pitches it as a walk across the site\, where the modern architecture of the new buildings stands against the industrial heritage. It lasts two hours\, with a Fonds Belval guide. Places are limited on each date\, so check availability and book on the Fonds Belval site before you come. Bad weather can close the furnace on the day.
