September 4 @ 10:00 am – September 6 @ 6:00 pm
Belval Plaza clears the decks for the new term with three days of braderie, from Friday 4 to Sunday 6 September. Alongside the shops’ own sale rails there is a vinyl fair with Reservoir, a comics and manga fair with Slumberland, and the first outing of the Belval Dressing Club, the centre’s own vide-dressing.
The reason to write the date down is the Sunday. Belval Plaza is shut every other Sunday of the year, so 6 September, 10:00 to 18:00, is one of the few weekend afternoons you can spend in there without watching the clock. Friday runs 10:00 to 20:00 and Saturday 09:00 to 19:00, as normal. Entry is free, parking is free for an hour and two hours once you have bought something, and it is a four minute walk from Belval-Université station.
If you want to sell, not just buy
The Belval Dressing Club is the part people will get wrong, so here it is plainly. Drop-off is on Friday and Saturday only, at the Dressing Club point on the ground floor of BP1. The centre’s team checks each piece, logs it and hangs it in the showroom, so it is a hand-over rather than a shift on a stall. Anything that sells is paid to you by bank transfer, and anything that does not is donated to Stëmm vun der Strooss.
- Women’s clothing only, washed, ironed and in perfect condition
- Five pieces maximum per person
- Brand label still attached, buttons and zips working
- No holes, stains, tears, pilling or visible wear
- Not accepted: jewellery, bags, shoes, underwear, pyjamas, swimwear, tights or animal fur
The centre communicates in French. Browsing needs no language at all, but if you are dropping clothes off, expect the desk conversation and the paperwork to be in French.
