Our caching system may set a technical cookie to serve pages faster.
The live transport panel remembers your chosen bus stop and view for the length of your visit, using your browser’s session storage. It is cleared the moment you close the tab.
If you log in to the site as an administrator, WordPress sets session cookies so it knows who you are. That applies to us, not to you.
None of these track you, build a profile, or follow you to other websites. All are strictly necessary, which under the ePrivacy rules means they do not require consent.
Local storage used by My Belval
My Belval does not place a cookie. After you explicitly save a place, event or story, import a shared list, or choose which kind of place the “Belval right now” panel should show, it uses your browser’s local storage to remember that on this device.

This storage is used only to provide features you explicitly asked for. It is not used for advertising, cross-site tracking, analytics or profiling.
Using My Belval does not require accepting advertising, analytics or other non-essential cookies. You can remove the stored information at any time using “Clear” on the My Belval page, or through your browser settings.
No consent manager is active, and none is required for My Belval’s explicitly requested functional storage. Notification permission is requested separately by the browser, only after you choose an event reminder. Do not add a consent layer for this feature alone.
Opening a My Belval shared link does not create this record. The shared list stays in the URL fragment until you import it, dismiss it or remove the fragment. A URL fragment is part of the link, not a cookie or a local-storage entry. Anyone who receives the whole link can view the list it carries.
If that ever changes
If we later add anything that tracks you, analytics included, we will ask for your consent first and this page will say exactly what it is. We would rather keep the site fast and quiet.
Controlling cookies yourself
Every browser lets you view, block and delete cookies through its settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site working, though for a reader of this site the effect should be minimal.
