How My Belval protects your privacy
Belval right now shows how many places are open and what is coming up. It is the same public information for every visitor, is not based on anything you have saved, and asks nothing of your device beyond your clock. A saved place shows whether it is open right now, using the opening hours already published on its own page and the same wording that page uses. That check runs in your browser against your own clock, and stays silent when the hours are not published rather than guessing. A phone number and a student discount are shown when the place has published them. All of these are public facts stored with the item you saved; nothing is sent to I Love Belval to produce them, and none of them travel in a shared plan link.
Calendar downloads are generated on your device when you ask for one, and carry a reminder your own calendar app handles. My Belval asks for no browser permissions of any kind.
Weather advice reuses I Love Belval’s server-cached forecast for the fixed Belval area. It never asks for or sends your location. Nothing is shared unless you press Share my plan and choose a recipient yourself. The shared link carries public item details and public venue coordinates in its URL fragment, and excludes private notes and reminders. Browsers do not send that fragment to I Love Belval, but anyone who receives the link can view its plan.
