Escher Kulturlaf

€36

Maison des Arts et des Étudiants

September 5 @ 5:15 pm 10:00 pm

Some races are built around a stopwatch. The Sudstroum Escher Kulturlaf gives you reasons to look up.

The Kulturlaf began in 2007 with a simple idea: connect the emerging Belval district with central Esch through a community race passing the city’s cultural sites. That mix still defines it. Bands and musicians line the routes, turning the city into part course, part stage.

Choose the half marathon, 10 miles, 10 km or 5 km. The 5 km can be run individually or in a team of exactly three, with every team member completing the full distance and the three times combined. Children aged 5 to 12 have their own free, untimed 1 km SUDenergie Mini-Kulturlaf.

Belval is the heart of the evening. The start, finish, prize-giving and After-Kulturlaf Party all gather around the Maison des Arts et des Étudiants. You do not need a race number to belong to the evening. Come to cheer, listen to the bands and watch the finishers return against Belval’s industrial skyline.

Race programme

• 17:15: SUDenergie Mini-Kulturlaf, 1 km
• 18:00: Half marathon, 10 miles and 10 km
• 18:15: 5 km individual and team races
• 20:15: Prize-giving ceremony
• 20:30: After-Kulturlaf Party with live music

Race-number collection and final registration take place at the Maison des Arts et des Étudiants on Friday 4 September from 16:00 to 20:00 and Saturday 5 September from 11:00 to 17:00.
