Welcome Week – University of Luxembourg

Starting university rarely begins with a single big moment. It begins with finding the right entrance, recognising a face from breakfast, learning where to ask for help and slowly turning a campus map into somewhere familiar.

Welcome Week is the University of Luxembourg’s introduction to campus life for new students. From 8 to 10 September, Belval Campus hosts breakfasts, workshops, talks and activities designed to make those first days more useful, welcoming and a little less daunting.

The 2026 programme combines practical orientation with some of the bigger questions facing students today. Sessions cover university services, studying in the age of AI, sustainability, IT support and the Luxembourg Learning Centre. Outdoor sport and interactive workshops create opportunities to meet people beyond the lecture room.

Welcome Week is followed on Friday 11 September by Welcome Day, bringing the new student community together for the Rector’s welcome, music, food and campus activities.

Participation is intended for new University of Luxembourg students. Check the official programme and practical information before attending, as access or registration arrangements may vary between sessions.
