Moien Vietnam closes for renovation from 15 to 29 August

Moien Vietnam, the Vietnamese street food spot inside Belval Plaza 2 opposite Delhaize, is closing for renovation. The last day of service is Friday 14 August, and the doors stay shut from Saturday 15 to Saturday 29 August.

The team announced it themselves on Instagram this week, and their sign is precise: back on Monday 31 August. The gap over Sunday 30 August is not a mystery, since they are closed on Sundays anyway. If their listed hours hold, the first bowls come out at 11:00 on the 31st. Worth noting that the closure begins on Assumption Day, when much of Belval is shut regardless, so in practice the last chance before the refit is this Friday.

That corner of Belval Plaza 2 is spending August under dust sheets. Delhaize, directly opposite, has been closed for its own renovation since 6 August and reopens on the 27th, so for a few weeks the two neighbours are taking turns. Belval does this every August. If the closure leaves you short of a pho fix, Xanh on Porte de France cooks Vietnamese right through the month, and the rest of the Plaza’s food units carry on as normal.

I spotted the announcement on Moien Vietnam’s own Instagram story on 12 August, which is as close to the source as it gets. If anything about the dates changes, I will update this post.
