Belval Plaza closes at 19:00 tonight and shuts all day Saturday

Belval Plaza closes at 19:00 today, Friday 14 August, an hour earlier than its usual 20:00, and the centre stays shut all day on Saturday 15 August for Assumption Day.

Sunday is a normal closed day at the Plaza, so once those doors shut at 19:00 tonight the centre does not open again until Monday 17 August at 10:00. Saturday is usually its busiest day and its longest, 09:00 to 19:00, so this is the weekend to plan around rather than turn up to. If you need something from the Plaza, tonight before seven is the moment.

It lands on a month that has already thinned Belval out. Delhaize is closed for its refit until the 27th, so the usual fallback for a forgotten shop is not there either, and Moien Vietnam begins its own renovation closure on the 15th. Assumption is a full public holiday in Luxembourg, so expect much of the neighbourhood to be quiet on Saturday rather than just the shopping centre. Belval does this every August.

Two caveats I would rather state than have you find at the door. The notice covers the centre itself, so restaurants and units with their own street entrance may keep their own hours and are worth a quick check before you travel. And the 19:00 close is for today only: normal hours resume on Monday.
