Union Jack, GOFAI and Makyō at MK Bar

Union Jack are a French three-piece who have been mixing punk, ska and rock ‘n’ roll since 1997, seven records in and still touring. The promoter, The Mad Ones, a Luxembourg association that puts on punk nights, describes them as angry, raw and percussive, with catchy melodies underneath. Support comes from GOFAI, one of Luxembourg’s harsher underground bands, somewhere between punk, noise rock and hardcore, and Makyō, another Luxembourg band, added to the bill by The Mad Ones in early October. If you want a Wednesday that leaves your ears ringing, this is it.

Doors open at 18:00 and the music starts at 19:00 at MK Bar, next to the Rockhal. Presale tickets are 12 EUR plus a 1.50 EUR booking fee, sold through The Mad Ones’ own site. No door price has been published, so book ahead if you are sure you are going. GOFAI are back at MK Bar on 23 October for their own split release with UltraNothing.
