Philosophy of self, identity and belonging is a two-morning workshop in English at the Université Populaire in Belval, on Saturday 14 and Saturday 21 November, from 10:20 to 12:50.
It asks how personal identity forms, what keeps a person the same through a lifetime of change, whether the self is real or an illusion, and how far the words we use shape who we become, drawing on Descartes, Locke and Sartre.
Both mornings together cost €27. Register on the Université Populaire’s website.
The Université Populaire is in the Terres Rouges building at 14 Porte de France, a few minutes on foot from Belval-Université station. Who would you argue this one out with over coffee afterwards?
