Psych Night: Euthymia and Uncle Leaf at MK Bar

Euthymia is an old Greek word for a settled, cheerful mind, the state Democritus held up as the aim of a good life. On Saturday 7 November, an Italian band named after it brings something far heavier to MK Bar: progressive doom, for a Psych Night with Luxembourg’s Uncle Leaf.

Euthymia formed in 2022 and draw on esoteric philosophy and Jungian psychology as much as on riffs, naming Tool, Alcest and Opeth among their influences. This summer they signed a worldwide deal with Wormholedeath Records and released Eunoya, a live video filmed at the SoundArt Festival in Bucharest. Belval falls between Bamberg the night before and Nuremberg the week after on their European tour.

Uncle Leaf were on this stage only a month ago, on a Sunday bill with Nadsat and Atomic Rocket Seeders. Their psychedelic post-rock is the gentler half of the night.
