A-Market

Belval's Asian supermarket, on avenue du Swing. Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Taiwanese groceries, in the sizes you actually cook with.

A-Market, 佳合超市 on the shop front, is Belval’s Asian supermarket, on avenue du Swing between the offices and the agencies. Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Taiwanese groceries across the aisles: rice and noodles by the sack, sauces and vinegars, fresh vegetables and tofu, and long freezer runs of dumplings, bao and mochi.

It is the only shop of its kind in Belval, and the reason to know about it is quantity as much as range. Things the Plaza sells in a single small packet, this sells in the size you actually cook with.

The shop sits at number 7, on a street otherwise made up of offices, insurance desks and employment agencies. Avenue du Swing is not where anyone expects to find their weekly shop, which is part of why people who have lived here a year still walk past it.
