The Biergeramt at Belval is Esch-sur-Alzette’s second citizens’ office, opened in 2023 inside Belval Plaza II, opposite the Delhaize checkouts. It exists so that the paperwork of living here does not require a trip into town.
Residence and life certificates, certified copies, legalised signatures, support letters, exit authorisations for minors, housing assistance, late-night permits, dog declarations, vignettes and recycling cards, VALORLUX bags and VelOK passes are all handled across the counter.
Almost everything is walk-in. A change of address is the exception and needs an appointment, so book that one before you go.
It stays open through lunch, which the Sudstroum counter nearby does not.
