Graduation Week at the University of Luxembourg

The University of Luxembourg hands out its degrees over one week on the Belval campus: nine ceremonies across five days, opening with the doctoral graduation on Friday 4 December and closing with education on Thursday the 10th.

It is not a public event. Places are for graduates and the guests they register, with a limited allocation each. The university streams every ceremony, so if you know somebody crossing the stage and cannot be in the room, that is how to watch.

The programme:

• Friday 4 December, 16:00 to 18:00 — PhD graduation
• Monday 7 December, 11:00 to 12:30 — Law, Economics and Finance, Bachelors. 15:00 to 16:30 — Masters
• Tuesday 8 December, 11:00 to 12:30 — Science, Technology and Medicine: Bachelors in computer science, engineering, mathematics and physics. 15:00 to 16:30 — the same Masters
• Wednesday 9 December, 16:00 to 17:30 — health, medicine and life sciences
• Thursday 10 December, 10:00 to 11:30 — Humanities, Education and Social Sciences, Bachelors. 14:00 to 15:30 — Masters and continuing education. 17:00 to 18:30 — Bachelors and Masters in Education

Worth knowing if you live here: the campus and everything around it is noticeably busier that week, families travel a long way to be there, and hotel rooms and restaurant tables in Belval go early. If you are booking anything in Belval in the first half of December, book it now.
