Urban has watched modern Belval grow around it. Open since 2008, before the university campus arrived, it has become one of Avenue du Rock’n’Roll’s large social anchors. The restaurant and bar are built for groups, with a broad seasonal menu, a substantial terrace and screens that draw a crowd for major matches.
On Rockhal nights, a dedicated concert menu recognises exactly what is happening a few doors away: many guests need to eat before the show or keep talking after it. The larger story is continuity. Urban was serving Belval when much of today’s neighbourhood was still a plan.
