Haus vum Vëlo is not a conventional bicycle shop. It is a community workshop where the tools are available, volunteers share practical knowledge and members learn to repair their own bikes. The association also supports cycling through workshops, lessons, second-hand bicycles, equipment trials and activities around the region. Its location beside Belval-Université station makes the point beautifully: the train can bring you here, but the bicycle can carry the journey onwards.
There is a social purpose behind the spanners too. Learning to ride or maintain a bike can mean independence, confidence and cheaper everyday mobility. Check the current programme before visiting, then arrive ready to take part and learn.
