Long before Belval became known for blast furnaces, concert nights and university life, water helped put its name on the map. The mineral spring known as Source Bel-Val was once associated with well-being and commercially bottled. The modern pavilion in Parc um Belval keeps that almost-forgotten chapter of the neighbourhood’s history in view.
Today, Pavillon Belval gives the park somewhere to stop, sit and stay a little longer. Its terrace and compact interior offer a calmer alternative to the busier centre of Belval, whether you arrive during a walk, with the family or simply in search of an easy place to meet friends.
The menu moves comfortably from coffee, cake and ice cream to crêpes, waffles, sharing boards and pinsas. Beer, wine, cocktails and alcohol-free alternatives take over naturally when an afternoon pause becomes an evening drink.
The pavilion’s setting is more than attractive scenery. Its architecture was created around the story of Belval’s mineral spring, connecting the area’s natural past with the neighbourhood taking shape around it today.
Pavillon Belval is a small address carrying a surprisingly long piece of Belval history.
