September 19 @ 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm
The Digital Learning Hub trains people in digital skills from the Terres Rouges building, and on Saturday 19 September it opens the doors to everyone for the first time. From 14:00 to 18:00 you can walk the facilities, meet the team and see what the programmes and the projects look like from the inside rather than from a brochure.
The thing to plan around is the cryptography workshop, which runs every thirty minutes through the afternoon. It is hands-on and deliberately analogue, so cracking a code with a pencil works whether you write software for a living or have never given it a thought, and there are other workshops alongside it. Two things the announcement does not say: whether you need to book, and whether anything costs money. An open door day is usually neither, but a quick word with the Hub is worth it if you are making the trip especially. Five minutes on foot from Belval-Université, and public transport in Luxembourg is free.
