Kidiz

Themed birthday parties, after-school classes and a ball pit, tucked behind a shared door on Boulevard des Lumières. The place Belval parents book when the flat is too…

Kidiz is the children’s events side of nascht, the crèche group, and it sits in the same building on Boulevard des Lumières, a few minutes from Belval-Université. Behind the glass front there is an indoor multisport court, a ball pit, a slide and a connected play area, and most of what happens there happens because somebody’s birthday is coming up.

Parties are the main business, built around a theme and run by an animator so the parents get to sit down. There are three formats by age: My First Party for one to four year olds, Funny Party for five to nine, and Best Party for ten to thirteen, which leans into Harry Potter, superheroes, video games, karaoke and a fluo party. Two hours, a decorated cake, the decor, snacks and party bags are included, and you pick a slot around brunch, lunch, snack time or dinner. Prices start at around €390 for a small party, with extras like a piñata, a cake designed to match the theme or a costumed mascot available on top.

During the week the same room turns into a small timetable of classes. Kid’s Mouv for four to nine year olds, Kid’s Yoga for five to nines, Kid’s Defense for six to twelves, and Mum’s Pilates on Wednesday and Thursday mornings, babies welcome. Courses run by the term, and there is a taster session for €15 that comes off the fee if you sign up.

Booking is online and worth doing early, because Saturdays go first. Weekends here are private hire only, so the door will be shut to anyone who has not reserved.
