The Luxembourg Learning Centre is the university library, built inside part of the Möllerei, the huge structure that once stored ore and coke for the neighbouring furnaces. Inside that industrial shell are quiet desks, group spaces, long shelves and views out through the old structure.
Material once waited here to become steel; now people come here to read and work. The library is open to the public as well as the university community, so even if you are not studying, step inside quietly and look up.
Since January 2026 it has also held the European Documentation Centre, a reference collection on the European Union, its history and its institutions. It keeps physical and digital material, runs lectures, seminars and exhibitions, and has a staffed desk for help with archives, databases and the institutions’ own document repositories. It is coordinated by the University’s Luxembourg Centre for Contemporary and Digital History, and like the library itself it is open to the public, not only to the university.
