Bei den Héichiewen is a day centre for people over 60 who still live at home. They spend the day here, Monday to Friday from 08:30 to 17:00, and go home in the evening, and a minibus, adapted for wheelchairs where needed, collects them in the morning and takes them back.

It is run by Päiperléck, a family company approved by the Ministry of Family Affairs and recognised by the CNS, which traces its roots to a hotel in Berdorf that became supervised housing in 1993. Belval is one of several Päiperléck day centres around the country, alongside Bettembourg, Bissen, Canach, Beaufort and Weidingen.

Days are counted in half-days, so a guest can come for a morning, an afternoon or the whole day. The centre’s own plan builds its care on the Humanitude method, whose principle is that nobody is ever cared for by force.

It is closed at weekends and on public holidays. To arrange a visit or a first day, call Päiperléck on 24 25 or write to info@paiperleck.lu.
