Jay Nepal opened in 2017, started by a cook from Baglung, in Nepal, who learnt Indian cooking in India as a teenager. That is why the menu reads Nepalese, Indian and Himalayan at once.

Momos, the Himalayan dumplings, are the place to start, then tandoor dishes, biryani, curries, breads and a large vegetarian choice. On weekday lunchtimes, from 11:45 to 14:00, there is an all-you-can-eat buffet with dessert.

It closes for a day at Dashain, the great autumn festival of Nepal: in 2026 that was 21 October. It also does takeaway, free delivery within 10 km, and catering for parties booked two or three days ahead. The address is 4 rue John Lennon.
