Paramedicus

Home nursing, care and physiotherapy across the south, run from a base on rue John Lennon. You do not go to them, they come to you.

Paramedicus has provided care at home across southern Luxembourg since 2012, and now employs around a hundred and thirty people from its base in Belvaux.

The range is wider than the sign suggests. Nursing, including wound care, post-operative care, medication management and blood tests. A liaison nurse who coordinates with the hospital, which matters more than it sounds when somebody is being discharged. Practical help with daily life and the household. Palliative care. Physiotherapy and occupational therapy. Psychology and neuropsychology. Geriatric medicine.

All of it happens in the patient’s home. The building on rue John Lennon is an office and a base, not somewhere to turn up with a bad back.

Services are reimbursed in whole or in part by the CNS or through the dependency insurance, subject to the conditions that apply at the time. What is covered and how to arrange it is a question for the CNS and for Paramedicus, not for this page, and the entry should say so rather than attempt a summary that will be out of date within a year.

Reachable around the clock, seven days a week, by appointment.

Local tip: Do not go to rue John Lennon expecting a waiting room. This is a home-care service, so the visit goes the other way. Ring 55 55 92 or email first, and ask about CNS reimbursement early, because for most people it changes the arithmetic completely.

Thank you. That is exactly how this stays right: I will check it and update the page.

That did not send. Try again in a moment, or use the contact page.

Something changed here?

Hours, an address, a closure: if this page is out of date, tell me and I will go and check. It goes to me, not onto the site.
