The Witcher in Concert at Rockhal

Rockhal

The Witcher 3 is a video game, but its soundtrack, partly written with a Polish folk band, has become a concert of its own. Created for the game’s tenth anniversary, the show toured Europe and North America to sold-out rooms in 2025.

The Witcher in Concert comes to the Rockhal Main Hall on Friday 20 November. Doors at 19:00.

A fourteen-piece ensemble plays the Wild Hunt score live against footage from the game, marking ten years since it came out. Game music has spent that decade moving from a functional layer to something people will sit down and listen to on its own, and this is what that looks like.

Seated, and the screening is in English with French subtitles. Promoted by den Atelier. Mentissa is in the Club the same evening, so there are two very different rooms running at once.

What is The Witcher in Concert?

The Witcher in Concert is a live show built around the music of the video game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, played in a new arrangement by a 14-piece ensemble. It was created for the game’s 10th anniversary, toured Europe and North America in 2025 to sold-out rooms, and now returns with a new production. Rockhal notes the evening is in English with French subtitles.

The artistic direction is by Marcin Przybyłowicz, the Polish composer who led the game’s music and later scored Cyberpunk 2077. The ensemble includes Percival Schuttenbach, the folk band from Lubin in Poland who co-wrote some of the soundtrack’s best-known pieces, including the song “Lazare”.

About the game

  • Made by the Polish studio CD Projekt Red and released worldwide on 19 May 2015.
  • Based on the Witcher novels by Andrzej Sapkowski.
  • You play Geralt of Rivia, a monster hunter searching for his adopted daughter, Ciri.
  • Two expansions followed: Hearts of Stone (2015) and Blood and Wine (2016).
  • Over 65 million copies sold by May 2026, and more than 200 Game of the Year awards.

The 2026 tour

This second European run opened in Dublin in October and closes in Groningen on 29 November, with Belval among the stops in between. Good to know: children under 14 need a ticket and must come with an adult, and children under 5 are not admitted.
