Giovanni Zarrella at Rockhal

Giovanni Zarrella grew up speaking German and Italian in Hechingen, where his parents ran a pizzeria. Germany first met him in 2001 on the casting show Popstars, which put him in the band Bro’Sis.

Giovanni Zarrella plays the Rockhal Main Hall on Sunday 18 April 2027. Doors at 18:00, on stage at 19:30.

Zarrella grew up in Germany with Italian parents and built a second career out of singing German Schlager in Italian, which sounds like a novelty and turned into one of the most durable formats on German television. The show pairs new songs with the ones the audience came for.

Seated on the bleachers, promoted by den Atelier. An hour and a half between doors and stage, so there is no need to be in early.

Who is Giovanni Zarrella?

Giovanni Zarrella is a German-Italian singer and television host, born on 4 March 1978. He grew up speaking German and Italian in Hechingen, where his parents Bruno and Clementina ran a pizzeria. The Live 2027 tour

Live 2027 is a run of 16 concerts in April 2027 across Germany, Austria, Luxembourg and Switzerland, opening on 6 April at the Laeiszhalle in Hamburg and closing on 26 April at the Westfalenhallen in Dortmund. Zarrella says he chose the venues himself, and he has called it “wahrscheinlich die schönste Tour meines Lebens”, probably the most beautiful tour of his life.

The set brings songs from Universo together with his own take on Italian classics and international evergreens, plus a first taste of his next album, working title Italian Songbook, which reinterprets hits by Al Bano & Romina Power, Zucchero, Ricchi e Poveri and Gianna Nannini. He is backed by the band from his television show.
