The Centre national de la culture industrielle (CNCI) and the Luxembourg Center for Architecture (LUCA) are running an architecture workshop for children on the last day of the European Heritage Days, on the Belval site itself. It is built as a walk in stages: look at what a steelworks was, look at what it has become, then build.
The building is done in mini bricks, and the question underneath it is the same one the adults are arguing about two days earlier: what do you do with an industrial site once the industry has gone. Ages 8 to 12, ten children maximum, and there is a snack. The organisers list it in Luxembourgish and French.
Sunday 18 October, 14:00 to 17:00. Booking is by email to inscription@cnci.lu with the workshop name as the subject line, or through the organisers’ booking page. They give the location only as the centre’s Belval site and publish no price, so confirm both when you book.
