ADEM is Luxembourg’s public employment service, and the Esch-Belval agency is its office for the south of the country. It sits at 1 boulevard Porte de France, a few minutes from the station at the Belval end of the street.
For most people it is where the practical business of looking for work in Luxembourg gets done: registering as a jobseeker, meeting an adviser, professional orientation, and the employer side of the service. For a neighbourhood built around a university, it also means this is the office a large share of each graduating cohort passes through if they decide to stay in the country rather than go home.
Counters are open Monday to Friday, mornings and afternoons, with a closure over lunch. The jobseeker contact centre runs slightly longer hours than the building does, so a phone call is often faster than a walk.
