Easy Lover at Rockhal

Ten musicians, a horn section and around two hours that move between Genesis and Phil Collins’ solo hits, from “In the Air Tonight” to “Land of Confusion”. Easy Lover have been playing them since 2019, faithful to the original arrangements.

Easy Lover, an evening of Phil Collins and Genesis, plays the Rockhal Club on Friday 15 January 2027. Doors at 20:00, on stage at 20:30.

Ten musicians, about two hours, covering both halves of a catalogue that most tribute acts pick only one side of. The Genesis material and the solo records need quite different bands, which is presumably why there are ten of them.

Who are Easy Lover?

Easy Lover is a tribute show dedicated to the music of Phil Collins and Genesis. The band was formed in 2019 and brings ten musicians to the stage, with a horn section, backing vocalists and a full light show.

The set lasts around two hours and moves between the Genesis catalogue and Phil Collins’ solo hits. The band stays faithful to the original arrangements and adds plenty of stage energy on top.

A little about Phil Collins and Genesis

Phil Collins joined Genesis as their drummer in August 1970. When Peter Gabriel left in 1975, he became the band’s lead singer during the recording of A Trick of the Tail. Genesis went on to hits such as “Follow You Follow Me” (1978), their first Top 10 single in Britain, and “Invisible Touch” (1986), their only number one in the United States. The band entered the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2010.

His solo career opened with Face Value in February 1981, the album of “In the Air Tonight” and its famous drum sound. No Jacket Required followed in February 1985, and that same year he played both Live Aid concerts, in London and Philadelphia, on the same day. “Easy Lover” itself is his 1984 duet with Philip Bailey, which spent four weeks at number one in Britain.
