James Blunt at Rockhal

Rockhal

In autumn 2004, James Blunt’s debut album, Back to Bedlam, came out, and “You’re Beautiful” soon went round the world. By 2019 he had sold over 23 million albums.

James Blunt plays the Rockhal Main Hall on Wednesday 17 February 2027. Doors at 19:00.

Twenty years on from the song everyone can name, Blunt has settled into being a far better live act than his reputation suggests: the set is funnier than the records, and he is entirely aware of what people think of him. The tour follows Airplane Mode.

Promoted by den Atelier, so the ticket link goes through their listing on the Rockhal page. The seating plan is not stated on the listing.

Who is James Blunt?

James Blunt is an English singer-songwriter and guitarist, born in Tidworth in 1974 and known for his light tenor voice. His debut album, Back to Bedlam, came out in autumn 2004, and “You’re Beautiful” soon became a hit around the world. By 2019, Chronicle.lu reported, he had sold over 23 million albums.

More than twenty years on, his concerts are full-band evenings built around his voice, guitar and piano, swinging between tender ballads and faster pop-rock songs. In 2007 he sang at the Concert for Diana at Wembley Stadium, and in 2025 he toured Europe to mark twenty years of Back to Bedlam.

The Airplane Mode Tour

Rockhal has the honour of opening the Airplane Mode Tour, which then runs to 37 dates across Europe and Britain before closing at the Brighton Centre on 8 April 2027. The album it celebrates is a set of songs about travel, detours and fresh starts. Most of it was recorded at Pig Music Studios in Banbury with his touring band, and Blunt says that studio is where he found his way again.

The first single, “Tastes Like Summer”, has a video filmed in Ibiza, and the second, “Weight Of It All”, is a more reflective song about the pressures of modern life.
