Fabrice Éboué was spotted in 2006 at the Théâtre des Blancs-Manteaux and joined Jamel Debbouze’s Jamel Comedy Club, where a wide audience first noticed him. His humour is dark and happily provocative, and as Rockhal puts it: “Éboué never looks for consensus.”
Fabrice Éboué brings SolitudeS to the Rockhal Main Hall on Thursday 4 March 2027. Doors at 19:00.
His fifth one-man show, following one that won him a Molière. Éboué works the uncomfortable end of French stand-up and has built a career on saying the thing the room was hoping he would not.
The show is in French, and it is seated, Main Hall. Worth knowing if your French is conversational: this is fast, and the jokes live in the wording.
Who is Fabrice Éboué?
Fabrice Éboué is a French comedian, actor, director and screenwriter, born in 1977 in Maisons-Alfort, near Paris. He was spotted in 2006 at the Théâtre des Blancs-Manteaux and joined the troupe created by Jamel Debbouze, the Jamel Comedy Club, which is where a wide audience first noticed him.
His humour is dark, sharp and happily provocative, and he likes to laugh at everything to gain some perspective. As Rockhal puts it: “Éboué never looks for consensus.”
On stage and on screen
- Faites entrer Fabrice Éboué, released in 2010: a laid-back, self-mocking set in the American stand-up style.
- Levez-vous !, released in 2015, the follow-up.
- Adieu hier (2024, Folies Bergère), which Rockhal notes won a Molière.
- SolitudeS, his fifth show.
On screen he wrote, directed and starred in the film Gérald le conquérant (2025), and he also appears in Barbaque (2021) and Heureux gagnants (2024).
The show: SolitudeS
With SolitudeS he goes back to the basics of stand-up: a microphone, a room and sharp writing, with no set and no tricks. The theme is the paradox of a society more connected than ever, and the many kinds of loneliness of modern life, social, urban and romantic. He starts from clichés and takes them apart to show how absurd they are, slipping in a few personal confidences along the way.
Before Belval, the show plays five nights at the Olympia in Paris in January 2027. Rockhal promises an evening where nobody is spared and laughter becomes a kind of freedom.
