ABBA Gold at Rockhal

ABBA Gold have spent more than 20 years trying to get as close as possible to an ABBA concert. This season they turn to what sits inside the songs: love, longing, heartbreak and memory.

ABBA Gold, The Concert Show, plays the Rockhal Club on Saturday 16 January 2027. Doors at 20:00, on stage at 20:30.

Part of the #emotion tour. ABBA themselves have not played a normal concert since 1979, so the tribute circuit around them has had nearly fifty years to get good at it, and this is one of the long-running ones.

Seated, in the Club. A seated ABBA show is a particular choice, and it does mean the singing happens from the chairs.

What is ABBA Gold, the concert show?

ABBA Gold is a tribute production that has been on the road for more than 20 years, with the aim of coming as close as possible to a live ABBA concert. It tours widely in Germany and across Europe.

The 2026/27 season runs under the title #emotion. This time the focus is on the feelings inside the songs: love, longing, joy, hope, heartbreak and memory, and the songs are played with fresh dramatic intensity.

Songs to know before the night: “The Winner Takes It All”, “Chiquitita”, “Knowing Me, Knowing You”, “Slipping Through My Fingers”, “One of Us” and “Dancing Queen”.

A little about ABBA

ABBA formed in Stockholm in 1972: Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson and Anni-Frid Lyngstad. On 6 April 1974 they won the Eurovision Song Contest in Brighton with “Waterloo”. Fifty years later, on 6 April 2024, fans marked the anniversary with a choir at London’s Waterloo station and a flashmob in Brighton.
