Typh Barrow at Rockhal

Typh Barrow learned her trade in Brussels piano bars, then found an audience on YouTube with piano-and-voice covers. One of them, “Gangsta’s Paradise”, was praised by Coolio himself.

Typh Barrow plays the Rockhal Main Hall on Saturday 5 December. Doors at 19:00, on stage at 20:00.

Born Tiffany Baworowski in Brussels, she grew up on Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gaye records and it still shows: a raspy, carrying voice over soul, pop and blues. After a six-year gap she returned with a third album, Dreama, which is bigger and more electronic than what came before.

Seated on the bleachers, and Rockhal lists it as last tickets. Goldman Confidentiel is in the Club the same evening.

Who is Typh Barrow?

Typh Barrow is the stage name of Tiffany Baworowski, a singer, songwriter and pianist born in Brussels in 1987. Her music moves between pop and soul, with touches of jazz and blues, and the press has compared her to Adele and Amy Winehouse. She began the piano at five, wrote one of her first songs at twelve and learned her trade in piano bars, where she met François Leboutte, who became her manager and producer.

Her first single, “Your Turn”, came out at the end of 2012. From 2013 her piano and voice covers on YouTube drew millions of views, including a version of “Gangsta’s Paradise” that Coolio himself praised. Many people in French-speaking Belgium also know her as a coach on The Voice Belgique. In October 2026 she released “Trop fort”, her very first song in French, written at the piano a few days before the premiere of her new show in Liège.

• Time (2014): her first short record.
• Raw (2018): number one in Wallonia and certified gold.
• Aloha (2020): a second number one in Wallonia, also certified gold.
• Dreama (2026): released on 27 March 2026, it climbed to number two in Wallonia. A deluxe edition including “Trop fort” is announced for November.

Milestones

• 2019: named Artist of the Year at the Octaves de la musique.

This show is part of the Dreama Tour, built around her latest album. Her previous tour sold out, including two nights at Forest National, and fans on this run were the first to hear “Trop fort” live, before it was ever released.
