Halloween 2026 in Belval, day by day
A student party, a family brunch, a quiz, cinema for kids, a 16+ horror night and five parties on the 31st: Halloween in Belval, 24 to 31 October.
Something wakes up in Belval at the end of October.
It starts with the light. On the last Sunday of the month the clocks go back, and every evening after that loses an hour. The streets between the Rockhal and the university darken sooner, and the two blast furnaces, rusted and silent since the 1990s, begin to look as if they are keeping watch.
They have earned the right. They were here long before the campus, the cinema and the bars, back when this corner of the Minett ran on iron and fire. Most of the year they stand still and let the neighbourhood grow around them. For one week, they get company.
Halloween falls on a Saturday in 2026, and for eight nights Belval leans into the dark. Here is where to find it.
In short: Halloween in Belval runs from Saturday 24 to Saturday 31 October 2026. There is a free student party at Café Saga, a family brunch at Nyx, a blind test at Le T’Chiz, a costume gig at MK Bar, children’s films and a 16+ horror night at Kinepolis, and five parties on Halloween night itself, most of them a few minutes’ walk from Belval-Université station in Esch-sur-Alzette.

Saturday 24 October: a student party at Café Saga
The first ones out of the shadows are the students.
A week before the night itself, Roux Magazine takes over Café Saga for Rouxphoria, from 20:00 to 01:00. The playlist drifts from alternative pop and rock into metal, psychedelic tracks and spooky music. The dress code is Y2K horror: think low-rise jeans, a flip phone and a little fake blood at the collar. Entry is free, and the organisers promise student-friendly prices at the bar.
Sunday 25 October: brunch with Dracula at Nyx
At 03:00 on Sunday the clocks go back, and the night steals an hour from every evening that follows. Nyx gives it back at breakfast.
From 11:00 to 15:00, the Spooky Family Brunch fills Nyx with small vampires and their grown-ups. While the adults work through an all-you-can-eat brunch, Art Party Lux keeps the children busy with Dracula’s Science Show, Wednesday’s Halloween Quest and a spooky creative workshop. It is €35 per child and €49 per adult, with water and lemonade included. Places are very limited, so book on 671 527 805.
Can’t make Sunday? Nyx also serves a Halloween lunch on weekdays until the 31st: its weekly lunch menu, with two options, at €17.
Wednesday 28 October: a blind test at Le T’Chiz
Midweek, the music turns mysterious.
At Le T’Chiz, DJ Asa plays a few bars and every table races to name the song first. The Halloween Quiz runs from 18:30 to 20:30, and every booked table gets a sharing board on the house, so even the team in last place goes home fed. Book ahead.
If you are heading towards Luxembourg afterwards, the railway works are still on that week. After 20:00, trains from Belval stop at Esch, where buses L61 and L62 leave every half hour from outside the station. The railway works guide has every time.
Friday 30 October: a costume gig at MK Bar
On the night before Halloween, MK Bar asks you to come as someone else.
Blame Emeraude launches her first EP, Blame Her, with a sound she describes as industrial dark pop rock, which feels exactly right for the week. Doors 19:00, show 20:00, €12 on the door. She has asked everyone to come in costume, so if your outfit is ready a night early, it gets two outings.
Saturday 31 October: Halloween, from breakfast to 3am
Halloween itself starts with the smallest monsters and ends with the ones who refuse to go home.
In the morning, Kinepolis Belval hands its screens to the children. Halloween Kids starts with activities, and the film begins half an hour later. At 09:30 there is Coco and Ducobu et le Fantôme de Saint-Potache in French, and Monster Mia in German. At 10:15 there is Coco in English with subtitles, Bitzbouf in Luxembourgish, and Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Halloween in German. Costumes are welcome. That makes four languages before lunch, which might be the most Luxembourgish thing on this list.
As the light goes, the grown-ups take over. From 18:00, Urban Belval checks in its first patients as Urban Hospital: a DJ set, a free shot for anyone who arrives in costume, and a €100 voucher for the Mamaboys group’s restaurants for the best costume of the night. Tables on +352 26 57 32 81.
At MK Bar, Grisbi with DJ Grazzhoppa brings Belgian hip-hop: doors 17:00, show 20:30, €12 in presale and €15 on the door. It isn’t a Halloween night, but it is a good place to start one.
Along Avenue du Swing, Coyote Café hands the decks to BRIS from 21:00 to 01:00, with one rule on the poster: house music only. No entry fee has been announced.
On the same avenue, DJ Flow23 plays Coppers from 22:00 to 03:00, and the kitchen stays open until 23:00, so you can eat before you dance. Tables on +352 27 40 40 60.
For those who prefer screaming to dancing, Kinepolis dims the lights again at 22:00 for the Halloween Experience, for over-16s. Four horror films on four screens: Hope at 22:00, Colony at 22:30, Clayface at 23:00, and Pinocchio Unstrung at 23:30, which is for over-18s only. Judging by the title, it has earned that.
And when Grisbi finishes at 23:00, MK Bar turns straight into a Halloween drum and bass night until 03:00, for the ones who refuse to go home.
Five parties a few minutes’ walk apart, so two in one night is very doable.
Getting home after Halloween night
Most of Saturday’s parties end long after the last train, and the last train does not wait for anyone in a cape. Check the way home before you head out: the departure board on the I Love Belval homepage shows the next trains and buses from Belval at any hour.
